Legal authorities report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
