The intense universe from Tom Clancy’s The Division will be translated into a dice-based role-playing experience. A partnership has been formed to develop a tabletop RPG that explores the franchise’s post-pandemic landscape. The project was revealed, with a crowdfunding campaign planned to begin in April of 2026.
"This project will bring the franchise’s distinctive tension, tactical intensity, and memorable setting to the table, providing fans a fresh avenue to engage with The Division through deep narrative and mission-based gameplay," reads an official release.
Launch products are set to feature a beginner's box, core rulebooks, a Game Master screen, miniatures, and various premium versions.
In this universe, a lethal pathogen known as Green Poison was released in NYC, sending the nation into chaos. As the pandemic worsens, civil order breaks down and hostile groups emerge, turning the urban landscape into a battlefield. To preserve law and order, the government {activate|deploy] The Division, a covert network of undercover operatives. This is where the agents come in.
Development on the game has been underway for about three years, and it is confirmed to be complete. The upcoming crowdfunding effort will function as a preorder system to reach a wider market, particularly in North America. Manufacturing is slated to begin immediately following the fundraiser, with shipping projected for the latter part of 2026.
An early look at the system confirms it uses 10-sided dice predominantly through its proprietary GRIS system, encouraging a fast-paced and strategic approach. Agents leverage skills or traits to assemble a handful of dice, typically between one and five d10s.
Battles stress placement and environmental awareness, reflecting the video games. Factors like taking cover, height advantage, or line of sight have a direct impact success chances. This system is designed to favor coordination and smart positioning over raw numbers.
The way injuries is tracked introduces a compelling narrative layer. Agents have a wound threshold; taking heavy hits reduces their capabilities by lowering the number of d10s.
A publicly available introductory rulebook will be released soon. It contains a pre-made introductory scenario titled Ashes of Murray Hill. In this mission, the group lead the hunt for a missing medical team and must thwart an attack by the notorious Rikers gang, who have seized control of that Manhattan district. Further information and the full range of offerings are expected to be unveiled closer to the Kickstarter start date.
